Happy Friday everyone,

Thanks for staying with us through the Gene / Joey email episode earlier this week, and also thanks to those who were able to brave the 30-degree weather last night to make our first Art Museum Weeknights Meetup.

Saturday is shaping up to be the best weather day for the next few days, with 56 degrees and partly sunny in the forecast, making tomorrow evening the ideal time for members to get together for our CELEBRATE SPRING Meetup / Tweetup at Murasaki Chicago. We get the place to ourselves at 6 PM (you cannot miss us); we get our own DJ; we get discounted drink and appetizer specials (tickets for drinks and appetizers will be sold at the event registration desk); and we get free access to the primo soundproof karaoke room. Murasaki Chicago is the kind of place where you take your significant other, client, or anyone you want to impress and score points; it is so nice you will give yourself points too. If you have not RSVPed but are available tomorrow evening, join us!

In addition to all that, I just scored a pair of passes from the new ShowPlace ICON Theater that I will award to the winner of a "skill raffle" we will be holding tomorrow. By "raffle", I mean all Meetup attendees get to "draw straws" for THE CHANCE to win the passes. By "skill", I mean those who qualify to win must demonstrate some knowledge of what took place at the recent 2010 Academy Awards. This is the Creative Social Club, after all. If you do not know what the ShowPlace ICON Theater is, basically it is the Bellagio Hotel of movie theaters.

Murasaki Chicago should be fairly full with our group on Saturday evening, but if you would like to bring a friend to the party, please do so. (RSVP updates are always appreciated.) Also, for those who want something to do downtown late in the evening after our party, I may have a nice (clubbing) option for you.
