Hiya peeps,

I just spoke with Murasaki Chicago. They are offering us: (a) an early open of the place for us only at 6 PM, (b) our very own DJ (that means disc jockey), and (c) discounted specials on cocktails, beers, and appetizers from 6 - 8 PM. They normally do not have events on Saturday night, but I think Murasaki has a special place in its heart for artists, musicians, writers...YOU GUYS!!! The restaurant opens to the general public at 7 PM and the regular Saturday night crowd fills up at around 8 PM, so our Meetup will officially last from 6 - 8 PM. After 8 PM, everyone can either hang around at the Murasaki bar, go to a different place, and / or proceed to whatever plans you might have for the rest of that Saturday night. If you have nothing else planned, I am 850% confident that a few of us will stick around and make an evening of it downtown one way or the other, so while the Meetup may end at 8 PM, the evening will not.

This Meetup has no cover charge, but we will probably have Murasaki sell tickets for discounted drinks and appetizers at the event front desk. Adding a DJ and a hot place like Murasaki, you just cannot do better to start your Saturday evening.

I need everyone of you to RSVP now for this event, try to bring a friend, commit to your RSVP on March 27th, and be more or less on time at 6 PM. That means Mexico City time (up to 15 minutes late) is OK, but please no Manila time (30 minutes - 2 months late)! I was asked to limit the attendance to 60, which I will do, but I want to make sure that we hit 60, so it will be a good evening as well for our very kind hosts. At some point, I may have to go all-out on Twitter to invite creative Tweeps; the earlier you can commit, the better you will be assured of a spot for the event. @tokyofan indicated an interest in attending our event, so with the viral nature of Twitter, spots can go fast. Please RSVP ASAP!
