Now that I have your attention, I was thinking we should start using this message board to it's full potential.
An average of one reply on each topic? Terrible! Come on guys. Okay, here's the game, find your favorite music video, song, funny clip, informational video, or just about whatever! (Well, doesn't have to be your favorite, just something you really like.) And post it up! Here I go, now follow along. |

Hey Emmanuel, THAT is the spirit and I loved the video, too.
I wrote a different response earlier, but I am editing it now after having thought about it more. Yes, I agree that we should have a more active message board, and if we were to achieve that -- unlike most other Chicago Meetup Groups -- it would be great. However, I will retract what I wrote earlier about my writing and posting reviews of movies that I have seen. I will not commit to that. The reason is that the beauty of Meetup is how it brings people together in the real world, how it creates real face-to-face friendships among people who have similar interests. We have some fantastic human beings in the Creative Social Club. I would rather focus whatever time I might spend on the message board instead on trying to develop some really good Meetups, and IF it is a choice between members posting on the message board or members actually attending Meetups, I would prefer the latter. I understand the concept of electronic community and how that can foster better attendance at actual Meetups, and if that were to be the case, terrific. In fact, I would love to see the message board be used to suggest and discuss ideas for upcoming Meetups. Next Meetup IS February 5th. Edited by Jester on Dec 31, 2009 12:08 PM |
