Massive changes at "Chicago Creative Singles" and NEXT MEETUP: Art Gallery Saturday, 1:15 PM, September 19th

For those of you who have not logged on to Meetup or "Chicago Creative Singles" recently, you are in for some massive changes. We have a very detailed description of the next Meetup online, so I will keep this brief:

  • "Chicago Creative Singles" is now "The Chicago Creative Social Club". We have our own Web site, www.creativesocialclub.com, using the Meetup engine and integrated with the rest of the Meetup community. Spread the word. If you want to make new friends or the chance to meet that special someone who share your passion for human creativity, we need to make our Meetup Group as big as possible. Joining is free and we are working on some great events ahead, so there is absolutely no risk in joining. Invite your friends, use email or Facebook, commit to somehow getting three new people to join. Sending a link is easy: www.creativesocialclub.com
  • Please post your photo or photos, and fill out your group profile or even your Meetup bio. As one of our members pointed out, this is a social group. In fact, the motto and tagline of The Chicago Creative Social Club is "Be Creative. Be Social". Post your pics!
  • I notice few people use the Web site. Use it. Use the message board to keep in touch between Meetups, report on creative happenings in Chicago, or discuss ideas for a new Meetup. Get involved. Be creative. We have the opportunity to create a very special Meetup Group. As with most things, you get what you put in.
  • Our next Meetup is "Art Gallery Saturday", 1:15 PM, September 19th. Highlights are (a) a private group tour of the Chicago Cultural Center, (b) a presentation of the Illinois Institute of Art - Gallery 180 by its Curator, Chuck Gniech, and (c) drinks / early dinner to "hang out" and enjoy each other's company!
