I love Meetup because it is specific to meeting people in real life. I like Twitter as a minimalist real-time supplement to Meetup. But with a bazillion users, I certainly consider Facebook more than viable as a social medium. It just does not fit my personal objectives and preferences.

Good to see you again, brah! As you can see, with Randy, Nelson, Nate, Tristan, and Henri, we can now be 5-1/2 Filipinos instead of just 2-1/2 Filipinos. Hope to see you at the Twilight brunch on 10/23, but dude, if there is gonna be any smackdown, my money is on Mariza. You may have the huge arms and all, but she will hit you upside the head with her heels if you rag on Alex Meraz too much. :P
