Originally, I had set the Meetup time at 4:45 PM so that our group does not miss any of the first set. Then, I was told by one Andy's employee that if you show up before 4:30 PM, you can avoid the cover charge, so I set up reservations for 10 - 15 people under "Creative Social Club" at 4:30 PM. Later, I was told by a different employee that you have to "show up before the door attendant goes on duty" in order to avoid the cover charge, at approximately 4 PM. I will get more clarity from Andy's on this matter, and relay something more definitive to everyone in my reminder email later this week, but my current plan is to show up at 4 PM and spend my $10 on a beer (or 1.5 beers) at the bar. Note that food service does not start until 4:30 PM.
The band is scheduled to perform from 5 PM until 8:30 PM. We have scheduled this Meetup such that we can hang out early and everyone has the option to (a) linger with the group or (b) accommodate other plans late on Saturday night. You just can't beat it.
UNLESS YOU CAN AVOID IT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, THERE IS A $10 COVER CHARGE AT ANDY'S FOR THIS SHOW. As usual, we will have separate checks for drinks and food. We have reserved our own table or tables so ask the maitre d' for "Creative Social Club".
Please RSVP "Yes" only if you are reasonably certain that you will attend, so that we can work cohesively with Andy's to reserve / arrange the right number and configuration of adjacent tables.
