Chicago Creative Social Club

The Creative Social Club - or The Chicago Creative Social Club, for long - is THE Meetup Group for ALL creative people in Chicago to connect with each other socially. The Creative Social Club supports the Chicago creative community by promoting social connections, enjoyment, and learning across all creative disciplines, and is open to (a) professionals in the creative industries, (b) people who aspire to make their mark in the creative industries, and (c) people who just thoroughly appreciate the fruits of human creativity and enjoy being with others who share the same passion. We welcome actors and actresses; film, broadcast, and theater producers, directors, and other creative talent; writers, artists, musicians, photographers, videographers, chefs, editors, publishers, agents, creative accountants, and designers and performers of all types; and creative, social members of the general public.

Our objectives are to (a) socialize and have a great time, (b) connect with other creative types, (c) have a forum for learning about creative endeavors and related topics, and (d) possibly even put together expositions of our own creative talents. Originally founded as "Chicago Creative Singles" and nearly shut down at the end of July 2009, this Meetup Group was acquired, reorganized, and repositioned into The Chicago Creative Social Club for the purpose of fostering a genuine sense of community among creative people in Chicago that will lead to meaningful connections and lasting friendships. In six months under new management, the Club's membership has nearly quadrupled to over 400 members, and we are looking forward to even bigger and better things ahead in 2010.

The cost to join The Chicago Creative Social Club is FREE for at least the first 2,500 members, but there are two standing orders in this group: Be Creative. Be Social. And remember, you only get the full wonderful benefits (e.g., new friends, fun, learning) of joining a Meetup Group by attending its Meetups, so: Be There!
